We treat each opening as a unique and important opportunity to make a perfect match between candidate and employer. Read below to see how our services resolved a difficult hiring situation.

When our employer contacted us to conduct a search for a leader of their customer education team, it was clear that this search would provide some unique challenges. A perfect candidate needed to have excellent customer service skills, experience managing a team of his own, knowledge of how to hire and train employees, and experience in the industry.

 

NS Charney took this challenge and went to our network of contacts to find the best candidate. Our extensive search revealed many qualified candidates, however, they were currently receiving significantly more compensation than our employer was looking to provide. Rather than putting these candidates aside, we submitted their resumes, noting that salary requirements were outside their expectations.

Since we cultivate long-term partnerships with our employers, we had developed a level of trust with the company’s hiring mangers which allowed us to have a frank discussion with them concerning the compensation level. We presented the client with salary information for other companies in the industry as well as our own experience showing that increasing the compensation would yield a far more desirable pool of candidates. With the employer on board, we were able to submit several highly qualified candidates.

We first made contact with the candidate, who was ultimately selected, four months prior to the offer extension. We maintain contact with our candidates during the sometimes lengthy selection process to ensure their continued interest in the position.


We remained actively involved as the candidate discussed the opportunity with his family and thoroughly considered the pros and cons of such a change, including the fact he and his family would need to relocate. Through our continued support, he made the informed decision to accept the position.

We continued to remain in contact with our candidate throughout his transition from old employer to new employer to ensure the process ran smoothly and efficiently. Staying in contact through the start date ensures that an excited candidate becomes an excited employee.

 

In the end, we made a match that will provide the client with an invaluable employee and the candidate with a position that will provide him long-term career potential. The candidate is now part of that extensive network of contacts that allowed us to find him in the beginning.
